EXPERIENCE NAPLES LIFESTYLE
Lifestyle with a Capital L
Naples’ style of living embodies relaxation…likely because residents are surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches, lush tropical scenery, Southwest Florida championship golf courses, elaborate fine dining options, a robust arts community, and a variety of shopping venues (which includes luxury retailers)! Living in Southwest Florida means good weather all year long, which provides the perfect outdoor lifestyle; start dreaming about fishing and boating, playing tennis or pickleball, kayaking or paddle boarding or just simple walks on the beach. All of these activities set Naples Lifestyle with a Capital “L”….
Our White Sand Beaches
With more than ten miles of coastline, there is plenty of warm Gulf of Mexico water, soft white sand and daily picturesque sunsets to go around. Whether you are a local or a visitor, if the beaches don’t get your attention, our tropical landscaping will set the mood. Depending on which beach you settle on, collecting seashells, paddle boarding, kayaking or a brisk long walk will add serenity to your day. And visiting the beach is super convenient! Naples beaches offer great parking, and as a resident, your annual pass sticker is free (coming from New Jersey, you had to pay each time to set foot on the beach!). Here are a few beach we like to go to…
- Lowdermilk Beach and Park in the Coquina Sands Naples neighborhood, caters to everyone – a playground, sand volleyball courts, a fun concessions stand, picnic tables, restrooms, and outdoor showers. We take first time Naples visitors to Lowdermilk Beach…ice cream on the beach watching the sunset always gets rave reviews.
- The iconic Naples Pier is a historic landmark located at the end of 12th Avenue South in Downtown Naples (Old Naples)…which delivers on amenities for a casual stroll on the 1,000 foot boardwalk pier or a full day at the beach. Make sure to spend time on the boardwalk, since it’s a premiere spot to watch a pod of dolphins play in our small surf, or take in our majestic sunset sky. Oh, and if you love to fish, the Naples Pier is also a fishing aficionados’ dream…. a favorite weekend activity for my girls and I (you don’t even need a license!).
- Further south in Marco Island, Tigertail Beach delivers a bit of variety. It is a barrier island in the making with a pristine white sand beach, and it happens to be a delightful location to bird watch, explore tidal pools, or collect sea shells. Marco Island’s beaches are a must for the adrenaline fiend, as jet skis and paddle boards are available to rent nearby.
The sun, the waves, and the peace our beaches provide, are big reasons we moved to Naples….and we love our Southwest Florida “L”ifestyle.
Golf, Golf Courses & Country Clubs
For others, the Southwest Florida golf lifestyle is their number one draw. As the self proclaimed “Golf Capital of the World”, Naples alone has more than 80 championship golf courses. Most of these golf courses are private and require a membership but 20+ are open to the public, and a few are semi-private. Living in a golf community enhances the lifestyle, and how most people take it all in. New residents and prospective Naples real estate buyers can’t help but take in the golf communities luscious backdrops of natural scenery and inspiring views. While some people golf for fun, Naples’ healthy community also understands the health benefits as well…which is why Naples was named the Healthiest, Happiest, Most Relaxed City in the United States by Gallup-Sharecare a few years back. Lastly, another bonus of Naples golf communities, is their Country Clubs and all the great social events they provide; let’s not also forget their robust tennis and pickleball programs, celebrated dining options and the community atmosphere they provide..
Heart of Naples – Downtown Shopping
Naples shopping boutiques cluster on Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South, both located in the heart of Downtown Naples (Old Naples Neighborhood) which residents and visitors take advantage of year round because the atmosphere is so inviting. Home to upscale fashion and jewelry stores, spas, unique gift stores, unbelievable artworks, distinctive art décor, and some of the best fine dining in Southwest Florida, Downtown Naples rolls out the red carpet. Walking the streets among the tropical blooms and greenery, you can’t help but take it all in! Stop for a coffee, or brunch outside, or schedule an outdoor dinner reservation with friends…the Naples lifestyle will always deliver.
Naples boasts a variety of exclusive dining options. If you’re looking for waterfront dining, read our dedicated blog post on ‘Upscale Waterfront Restaurants in Naples.‘
Family Nature Recharge
Raising a family or entertaining grandkids in Naples is simply gratifying. An absolute joy to extend so much nature to those who thrive on it. Of course the beach is loved by all (any day of the week), but our family loves to spend weekend mornings bike riding in Pelican Bay, boating in the Naples Bay near Aqualane Shores Naples Florida, boating and fishing in the backwaters of Keewaydin Island (we play a game counting all the dolphin and Osprey sightings), playing tennis or venturing to phenomenal parks, such as Baker Park or Freedom Park. We also enjoy brunching outside at Lake Park Diner and then spending the afternoon at either the Naples Zoo or the Naples Botanical Garden. As a family, we recharge with nature!
