Your Guide to Southwest Florida Art Festivals

Nothing can beat the real time experience of looking at a piece of art up close. The details in sculptures can give rise to emotions incomparable to what is experienced in front of a computer screen. So while the internet has generally made art more accessible to viewers, in-person interactions with sculptures, artworks, painting, etc., tends to provide a greater appreciation of these visions.  If you, like us, appreciate nothing more than a good old art event, take a look at these seasonal art events taking place in Naples, Estero, and Bonita Springs:

Art in the Park

Date: First Saturday of every month November till April

Having two locations, the ‘Art in the Park’ event rotates between Baker Park, 10 Riverside Circle, and Cambier Park, 755 Eighth Ave. S., Naples. The event will house as many as 48 local artists. Entrance is free, and all visitors are encouraged to follow the event’s SOPs.  Further Details:  Art in the Park

Bonita Springs Natural Art Festival

Date: Select weekends in January, February and March

This gorgeous event is organized by the Centers for the Arts of Bonita Springs so they can ultimately contribute to the Centers for the Arts, including their programs and scholarships. The free event will showcase a whopping 200 artists. The festival will take place at Riverside Park, 10451 Old 41 Road, downtown Bonita Springs.  Further Details:  Bonita Springs Natural Art Festival

Bonita Springs Art Walk at the Promenade

Date: One full weekend in January

Takes place at The Promenade at Bonita Bay, 26795 S. Bay Drive, Bonita Springs, and showcases under a 100 artists.  Further Details:  Bonita Springs Art Walk at the Promenade

Art Fest Naples

Date: One weekend in January

Organized by Art Fest Naples, this event was first introduced by a Naples-based artist and a local physician whose daughter had autism. The free event takes place at Fleischmann Park, 1600 Fleischmann Blvd., Naples (across from Coastland Center mall on south side), and proceeds from the festival will go to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Naples’ Meals on Wheels program.  Further Details:  Art Fest Naples

Naples Uptown Art Festival

Date: One weekend in January

This beloved art festival takes place at the Tenth Street South in The Naples Design District from Central Avenue to Fifth Avenue South (Tamiami Trail). The event will house as many as 140 artists, whose work you can enjoy for free. Further Details: Naples Uptown Art Festival

The Art Festival at the Mercato

Date: One weekend in January

Organized by Boulderbrook Productions, this event takes place at Mercato, 9132 Strada Place, North Naples. The annual festival will house about 40 artists. Entrance is free! Further Details: The Art Festival at the Mercato

Naples National Art Show

Date: One weekend in February

Takes place at the Cambier Park and Eighth Street South in Downtown Naples and is a mega art show with more vendors than the eye can see. A fundraiser event for Naples Art, visitors are encouraged to donate $10 on arrival. Further Details: Naples National Art Show

Naples Fine Art Show

Date: One weekend in March

The much-awaited event takes place at the beautiful Naples Italian-American Club, 7035 Airport-Pulling Road. While the entrance is free, visitors are encouraged to donate $5, where all proceeds will go to the Institute for the Arts & Education, Inc. Along with showcasing works from 80 artists, there will also be a Budding Artist Competition for children in grades 6 through 12 or between ages 9 and 19. Further Details: Naples Fine Art Show
